Licho<p>Ok my fellow nerds, <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/fennec" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fennec</span></a>, a <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Firefox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Firefox</span></a> version compiled for <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/fdroid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fdroid</span></a>, doesn't load websites 80% of the time, completely randomly. I searched for solutions and concluded that since nothing works it must be <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/android" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>android</span></a> itself that nerfs the competing browser. </p><p>My question is, how dumb is using something based on WebView, actually? I installed <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Fulguris" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Fulguris</span></a> and it's blazing fast, seems to be working 100% of the time. It's open.</p><p>Since I have no experience with android development, is WebView chromium in disguise or is it fine? And I opening myself to all of the Google malpractice through it? I wish I could use Fennec but it turns literally useless, when I can't even load wikipedia most of the times.</p>
