StefanSorry it took me so long. Here comes my last post about our hike on the Canary Islands, La Palma. San Sebastián is a lovely town that somehow manages to withstand the masses of tourists. I found it to be the most charming of the „capitals“ of those islands. The views on La Palma were just mind blowing. You‘re so high up, up to 2400m, and from there it‘s just a straight, steep decline down to the ocean. It was just magnificent. A bit cold though. About half way there was a tiny museum where they documented the volcanic history of the islands. StefanOur fifth island, La Gomera. Truly spectacular mountains and cute, colorful villages with nice bars and restaurants. Just lovely. StefanForests burnt from wildfires, tall mountains and somewhat steep passes with spectacular views, hot, cold, dry and a lot of wind, that was Tenerife for us. PositivDenken 🤯Deviated from the official route and went to Playa de Cofete. A 15km beach that we had all to ourselves. StefanSome highlights hiking Lanzarote on the GR131. Landscape is very barren. It’s astonishing how people manage to live here and even do some agricultural. There’s volcanic calderas everywhere. Just the idea what it must have been like some million years ago is truly astounding.
