Just got back from the #HandsOff protest in #OKC!
Not knowing what the situation was going to be, I left my phone in the car, so no pics. All was well, however. We did have a few drive-by counter-protesters with Trump stickers all over their vehicles, but they didn't make noise at anybody. Many supporters drove by honking and waving.
Next time, I'll at least bring my 35mm film camera. Nothing like a little old-school photography to document the events of the moment.

The speakers were good and effective, especially the disabled veteran who spoke of losing benefits. I hope her telling of her experiences and concerns put a face on it all for those who don't pay attention to what the VA actually does.
I'm not enamored of the US military complex. But if our government is going to send soldiers into war and other dangerous situations, then our gov't had better the fuck take care of these people after they retire, whether they're permanently injured or not.
The other highly memorable speaker was a man whose name and function I did catch -- but I definitely caught what he said:
"What are you gonna do? They've been abusing you for decades, maybe centuries. And they're doubling down on it now. So what are you gonna do? Are you just gonna go back to work like it's nothing? Are you gonna stand here today and then just go back to work tomorrow? You need to say no! You need to be on strike! Stop giving them what they want from you and GO ON STRIKE!"
Couldn't have said it better myself.
And go on striking. The far-right won't give up. There will be needed lots of protests and strikes during a long time. And they have to extend over the whole world as the
