Heute habe ich zum ersten Mal seit echt langer Zeit mal wieder über #Roll20 gespielt. Bin ja schon lange auf nem eigenen #FoundryVTT Server oder bei anderen am #BigBlueButton.

Holla die Waldfee! Obwohl ich im Energiesparmodus war und alle Spieler-Videos abgeschaltet hatte, ging mein Lüfter kontinuierlich und der Laptop wurde echt warm!

Das habe ich mit der Laptop Einstellung noch nie erlebt! Selbst Videokompression und Code Generatoren lassen den Lüfter nicht loslaufen im Modus "Energie sparen".
#FoundryVTT und #BigBlueButton btw ebenfalls nicht..

Roll20 muss da irgendwas wichtiges auf der GFX Hardware machen wollen.. Ich habe hier nur so ne simple OnBoard Intel GFX drin.

Krass. War echt kein Spaß, so zu zocken.. #pnpde

Maybe I'm paranoid or stingy, but all the #BigBlueButton hosting services I see seem so sketchy or overpriced. And I immediately remove from consideration any service that touts "AI." I haven't looked into it very thoroughly, but from what I've seen, self-hosting seems less complicated than, say, self-hosting Nextcloud. Since I'm the only one who would initiate a meeting, and I usually only do so once or twice a week, for small groups (usually fewer than 12), the server wouldn't have to be running uninterrupted, 24/7. Does anyone have any experience self-hosting BigBlueButton?

Mentre #Microsoft si prepara a deprecare #Skype per maggio, potrebbe essere una buona idea provare alternative #FOSS come #Mumble, #Jitsi e @bigbluebutton per chiamate/videochiamate. Specificamente per Mumble, ho il mio server a mumble://gianmarco.gg aperto 24/7! Feci anche qualche mese fa un video tutorial in italiano riguardo Mumble, link nei commenti!
