Auf vielen Intel-Macs läuft als Alternativsystem Windows 10, doch der Support endet. Windows 11 wird aber nicht offiziell unterstützt. So geht es trotzdem.
Yes, Kagi's Orion browser delivers a modern WebKit browser as far back as Mojave and we do plan to enable High Sierra support as well. Just because it's hard doesn't mean it shouldn't be done 
I cannot back this assertion up with empirical data but macOS feels slow these days.
I feel less and less in control of what the machine under my fingers is doing. Despite using the ultra fast, ultra powerful Apple Silicon chips, the prevailing feeling I get whilst using the mac these days is that it's just sluggish.
I has me itching to find a viable Linux based desktop solution. If only I wasn't married to Final Cut and Adobe for $dayjob. Perhaps a Windows system? No that sucks too, but for entirely different, more insidious privacy reasons.

The latest update removes obstacles to downloading iPhone apps outside the official App Store. There are important patches for all Apple systems.
TextEdit is driving me nuts. Not only is there no way to make "paste without formatting" the default (and they call it "paste and match styles", which is just... WTF, your mindset is so utterly backwards from mine), but also they made the keyboard chord for it completely finger-breaking. Seriously, ⌥⇧⌘V? Try putting your fingers on all those keys at once. Especially compared to the ease of ⌘V!

Tengo una #consulta para gente que usa #MacOS. Nunca antes me había planteado hacerme con un mac pero viendo la pesadilla de privacidad e imposiciones al usuario en la que se ha convertido windows, pregunto:
¿Qué tal es Apple respecto a esto? ¿te espían con todo? ¿te obligan a usar sus servicios sin darte alternativas?
Esto es para contextos en los que la única elección sea win-macos, como en entornos laborales, por ejemplo.

To GNU tar or not to GNU tar?
• Installing Kitten on Linux should no longer display a screenful of gibberish from the tar command.
You see, macOS, being special, includes BSD tar, not GNU tar, and adds a bunch of Mac-specific metadata and extended header keywords to archives that GNU tar on Linux machines then chokes on and regurgitates onto your screen as warnings.
With this release, Kitten’s packaging script expects GNU tar to be available on macOS and uses that instead of BSD tar.
The latest release of Kitten now installs without any warnings on Linux (at least on my Fedora Silverblue box).

In meiner Bubble geht seit einiger Zeit ein Gespenst um in Europa, das Gespenst des Endes von #Win10, das man nun unbedingt durch #Linux ersetzen müsse. Ich lese Missionare an jeder Ecke. Missionare sind peinlich.
Eigene Erfahrung: Windows habe ich vor ca. 30 Jahren entsorgt, war dann lange auf Linux unterwegs (erst Suse, dann Ubuntu) Das hat funktioniert, aber ich habe mich dabei beobachtet, wie ich zu viel Zeit mit Gefrickel (das ist ein böses Wort, nennt es "Optimierung") beschäftigt war.
Und bin dann auf #MacOS umgestiegen - und es war ein Erlebnis. Es funktioniert alles out of the box, Fragen sollte man nicht stellen. Es ist ein echtes Unix, allerdings mit steinalter Software. Dem kann man dank #homebrew oder #macports (das verwende ich) entgehen: fast die ganze OSS-Welt in einer anständigen Paketverwaltung. Das gefällt mir.

❯Was ich sagen will: Wer also von Win10 weg will oder muß und keinen Bock auf Spaß am Gerät hat, könnte auch über einen Mac nachdenken. Dann freilich mit neuer Hardware, das wäre der einmalige Preis.
