Jumped into the NMS Relics Expedition last night. Sort of nice change from the "new" (has 20 hours on it already lol) permadeath abandoned universe save I started. I say sort of because it's the first day so EVERYONE showed up. Couldn't even find my ship at the start because there were 3 sitting on top of each other 😆

Got to the first NPC you need to talk to and some jackass had removed all the terrain from underneath him. Just had to restore it to be able to get close enough to talk to him but yeah, people suck. Still, I'm absolutely digging the entire paleontology thread of this Expedition. Definitely enhanced by playing in VR.

Red Matter (Multi, XP'd on PS5/PSVR2)
As an agent, code named Epsilon, you are tasked with retrieving classified documents from an abandoned "enemy" base on Saturn's moon Rhea in a SciFi cold war setting. This is basically a "suspense puzzle" game, as there are several moments that make you tense, but this is absolutely not a horror/gory game. Some mild "jump scares" that only the most skittish would jump at.

Got this one on sale for under $10 the same time I got GT7. I would recommend getting it on sale, actually, as it's a very short experience. I have 4 hours played and I'm the type that likes to explore, tho there's not a whole lot of exploration here. It's fairly linear and you have clear cut goals to achieve. (I missed 3 trophies so I will likely play it again just to 100% it cause they're clearly noted so, easy peasy Platinum, why not)

The mood and setting of the game are excellent. It truly encapsulates the feel of an abandoned base on a moon in the far reaches of the Solar System. Music is very complimentary as well. The controls are good, if slow. This is a good game for new VR players. As I've been running around in No Man's Sky and GT7 this game felt a bit slow to me, lol. The puzzles aren't all that hard but do require some thinking which is cool.

All in all, this is a neat short experience with an interesting story and a bit of a twist at the end that sets up the sequel (that I will have to look for on sale in the future, heh). 👍 👍

Happened to look at the PSN Store the other day and the Anniversary Edition of GT7 was on sale for 50$, which made it cheaper than the not on sale Standard Edition. So yeah, bought that (and Red Matter).

Already put several hours into it, finished the Class B license with nearly all golds (missed one by 7 thousandths of a sec). Was nice that they brought over the cars I unlocked in My First Gran Turismo. I kinda wish I had the space for a wheel now, lol. Using a controller in VR is a bit odd feeling but you get used to it.

Wanna put some time into checking out the Worlds 2 stuff in No Man's Sky. I almost want to start a new game in Abandoned mode, cause I really did dig the Expedition that introduced it. Exploring a Universe lacking any sentient life besides yourself just appeals to me.
