Found out about the new Chè (Vietnamese dessert) spot in Carlisle and maaaay have gotten a bit too excited! In my defense, I can't remember there ever being a place selling Chè that was this close to home!

They had quite a few options so I panicked a bit and I got the always solid classic, Chè Ba Màu (Three Colour Dessert). Then they recommended a coffee flavoured one with flan. And one with pomelo, I've never tried that before, excited for that.

We made ourselves some #BunBi for lunch.

I steamed up some #clams before midnight
Ate bunch of them with chili nuoc cham sauce with lots of lime juice added. These ones are from up island - bought from local vendor. They're littlenecks & manillas - really common on our island beaches.
I'm going clam digging & oyster harvesting next week - up island.

Last week I made the Bún Trộn Tôm (Vietnamese Shrimp and Rice Noodles Salad) with Citrus and Herbs recipe from J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s _The Wok_ cookbook.

I thought it was good! I look forward to making this one again. 4 stars ★★★★☆
